A Celebration of Native American Culture - Skagit Eagle Festival Event - Marblemount

Cascadia Effect - Chaha'O Puppet Theater Debut Premiere! 12:00 p.m. -1:00 p.m.
We are Sasa, Two Hats and Starwalker. We are of Tsalagi, Makah, S'Kllam, Skokomish, Dutch and French. We will be introducing Mimi's Chaha'O Puppet Theater-dedicated to Mitakiyusin (all our relations) inspiring and inspiriting healing through grief, trauma and disease through sacred clown ways. Sasa has been carving totemic creations since 1990 and is mostly self taught with some apprenticeship early on with a local carver. Now the three of us create carvings and puppets as well as music and puppets.

Rosy Cayou, Historian of the Samish Indian Nation  1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Rosy Cayou from the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe/ Samish Island Nation, will share history and legends through stories and song.

Peter Ali, Native American Flutist  2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Peter is a self-taught flutist, creating music not from notes on a page but from the spirit within. Each performance is unique. Peter plays a variety of native flutes and shares their stories as well as those of his rich ethnic heritage.

Swil Kanim, Native American Violinist 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.nd music.
